What is the PTC?

PTC is a Parent-Teacher Club that exists to support the school and needs of the teachers. In past years, the PTC has supported the Math, Physical Education, Music, and Science departments by purchasing supplies and contributing towards various competitions. PTC also raises money to provide an annual senior scholarship.

Why PTC?

You might be asking yourself why PTC and not PTA or PTO? PTA's and PTO's provide very little benefits to charter schools. In September of 2004, we decided to become our own organization. Thus the Parent-Teacher Club was born.

Do I have to pay a fee to be part of the PTC?

No, unlike the PTA or PTO, just having a student at Coral Academy or teaching at Coral Academy enables you to automatically be a member of the PTC. The only way for your voice to be heard is to show up to meetings and state your opinion.

Who runs the PTC?

You do! There are elected officers to guide meetings and initiate activities voted in by the PTC body.
